Go On An Alaskan Safari

Safaris aren’t limited to Africa; it is possible to go on an Alaskan safari as well. And if you want to schedule one for this summer (the best time to visit Alaska, in my opinion), now is the time to do it. In the summer time, Alaska comes alive with wildlife and even thaws out a bit so that you can view the beautiful tundra.
For a great trip, head to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in the northeastern part of the state. It’s still a bit chilly, even in the summer, but it is well worth it. The isolated environment assures that your Alaskan safari will be uncrowded, and you can see a surprising variety of wildlife: eagles, falcons, swans, porcupine caribou, bears (grizzly and polar), moose, musk oxen, arctic foxes (with beautiful coats), lynx, Dall sheep, and more. It is possible to climb, cycle, hike and paddle in the Refuge, and you can arrange day trips and multi-day excursions.
If the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is a bit too isolated, expensive and time consuming, you can enjoy an Alaskan safari at such locations as Denali National Park and Kenai Fjords National Park (a breathtaking ocean view that allows viewing of sea lions, seals and whales).
